My passion is helping clients understand the scope, scale and depth of the change forces affecting human society in the first decade of this second millennium. 

This blog serves as a relatively random collection of observations about the agents of this change - be it people, technology, ideas, causes. My intent is simply to share insights from sectors and disciplines outside tourism that can help us build a more resilient, caring and creative community.

It's a great time to be alive! I believe that we are experiencing the transition from a top down, command and control model of human organization shaped by  linear mechanical metaphors to models based on organic, dynamic, networks reliant on huge volumes of peer to peer communication. As a consequence, everything is up for review and has the potential to be transformed and each of us can play a role in  making this transition effective and positive.

Because I have worked in destination tourism - several of my posts relate to that sector which provides a great example of swarm behaviour and loosely coupled systems at work.
